There was no single source to obtain customer information. Some information was in the Sales Department, some in Marketing, some in the Telemarketing Company. The customer file was not easily accessed.
WHAT WE WERE ASKED TO DO
Help develop a standard customer information database.
An information model was developed with the Sr. Vice President of Sales/Marketing, the President of the Telemarketing Division, Regional V.P. and the data processing staff.
The database subsequently developed was so stable that they did not have to make any changes in more than three years. This project led to multiple consulting engagements and other opportunities with this organization.
