This major organization was employing the expertise of two major contractors to develop one of their mission critical projects, and the two contractors were in a state of continuous dispute. Consequently, the quality of the project deliverables was suffering.
WHAT WE WERE ASKED TO DO
Interview all participants in the project from both contractors' staffs and develop a quality assurance process for software development projects.
Interviews were conducted, followed by a Joint Development Approach session to resolve issues in dispute and reach a synergistic solution through a consensus process.
A Quality Assurance program was produced that could be used for all of their outsourced software development.
